Dentistry for Kids
Dr. Maryam Isordia Bernes’s focus is children’s dentistry. Since she believes that preventative dentistry is essential, she likes to help her young patients get off to a good start with education and regular preventative care.
By teaching young children and teens how to take care of their teeth and mouths, she can help them avoid major dental issues later in life.
Ideally, children would have regular dental visits for cleanings and examinations with follow-up visits as needed. With a good at-home regimen and healthy diet, there may be little else needed until wisdom teeth begin coming in.
Even babies can benefit from early checkups. Dr. Maryam Isordia will examine a child to ensure their oral structure is normal and healthy and instruct parents on how to clean their babies’ mouths after meals.
Early Care for Problems Is Always Best
If there is any irregularity in your child’s oral structure or if a problem is developing as their teeth come in, it is always best to treat it early. That is the advantage of bringing your children in to see Dr. Maryam Isordia on a regular schedule. She can identify problems of tongue attachment, tooth alignment or minor areas of decay. With early diagnosis, most problems are less invasive and less expensive to treat.
