Dental Implants

For our patients, dental implants offer the most satisfactory and permanent method of replacing missing teeth. Dental implants are so comfortable and natural, it’s like you never lost any teeth at all!

How Do Implants Work?

The first step is to place a thin titanium post in the bone of the jaw. This post will act as the anchor for the replacement tooth (the crown). In some cases, a temporary crown can be attached to the implant immediately after the implant has been placed in the jaw.

In other cases, it is best to let the jawbone bond fully with the titanium implant first. When that is done and the crown has been manufactured, it is securely attached to the dental implant. Your tooth replacement is complete!

What Are the Advantages of Dental Implants?

A dental implant stimulates the bone of your jaw just like a natural tooth would. This helps keep the bone healthy and strong.

Additionally, with implants, you can replace a single tooth without altering the shape of the teeth on either side of the missing tooth like you would with a bridge.

A dental implant is also the most natural-looking and long-lasting method of tooth replacement.

Benefits & Advantages of Dental Implants

Dental implants have many advantages over traditional tooth replacement options.

  1. Enhanced Stability & Functionality: Dental implants provide unsurpassed stability and functionality compared to removable dentures or bridges. Implant-supported restorations let you speak, eat, and chew with confidence.
  2. Long-Term Durability: Dental implants are a cost-effective and durable investment in your oral health. With proper maintenance and care, they can last a lifetime. Dental implants are a permanent alternative to traditional dentures or bridges that need replacing every few years.
  3. Preserve Jawbone Health: Dental implants stimulate jawbones beneath, preserving facial structure and preventing bone loss over time. This stimulation mimics natural tooth roots and helps maintain jawbone density.
  4. Natural-Looking Aesthetics: Implant-supported restorations are designed to look and feel like natural teeth. They also function the same way, resulting in a natural-looking and seamless smile. Dr. Mamaliger and his team of dental technicians work closely together to custom-design your implant-supported dentures, bridges, or crowns to match your natural teeth in size, shape, and color.
  5. Improved Oral Health: Dental implants do not require the adjacent teeth to be filed for support like traditional bridges. They also preserve the integrity and strength of nearby teeth. This minimally invasive method promotes optimal dental health and reduces complications associated with traditional tooth substitute methods.
  6. Enhance Quality of Life: Dental implants allow you to enjoy your favorite foods again, confidently smile, and speak clearly. They improve your quality of life. You can eat various foods, maintain proper nutrition, and participate in social activities without embarrassment or limitations.
