Tooth-Colored Fillings

This newer type of filling is such a blessing for our patients because they are virtually unnoticeable. 

For cosmetic purposes, some patients ask us to replace their metal fillings that have darkened with age. Then they don’t show dark fillings when they laugh or smile. 

There is another advantage to these fillings. The composite material used for tooth-colored fillings bonds tightly to tooth tissue so we don’t have to remove as much healthy tooth tissue as we did with metal fillings. That means less wear and tear on teeth and less drilling for patients.
